PLAY WHAT’S NOT THERE BY DR. BILL THOMAS
Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Conference - Orlando, Florida
Kate performed as Beatrice, a physician on the journey of turning inward and finding balance in the profession, in a staged reading for medical professionals at the ACGME Conference. The talk-backs consisted of open conversations with the physicians who attended, discussing the impact of the profession and the emotions behind it, helping “residents tackle tough conversations about balancing family, personal identity and practice.” The play went on to premiere at The Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis in 2013. You can learn more about the play and the work of Dr. Bill Thomas in this American Medical Association article here.
